PLEASE NOTE: The giraffe at Giraffe Manor are wild and therefore we cannot guarantee interaction with them at any given time.

Accommodation : Giraffe Manor

Day Two & Three:

After an unforgettable breakfast with giraffes at the Manor you will be taken by road to Wilson Airport to catch your scheduled flight to Nanyuki. At Nanyuki airstrip a Solio vehicle will be awaiting your arrival.

Solio Lodge is sandwiched between the rolling green Aberdares and Mount Kenya. Its high altitude and position between these two dramatic mountainous regions mean that it has a perfect climate of cool nights and warm days. The wildlife is easy to view, with large numbers of all plains game, rhino and lion. Game drives are leisurely in this sanctuary, which was Kenya’s first private wildlife reserve. In between game drives, enjoy pampering spa treatments, our wood-fired sauna with a view or perhaps a visit to the Solio Ranch Rhino Orphanage where you can interact with baby rhinos.

Accommodation : Solio Lodge

Activities : Game drives, Sundowners, Bush Picnics, Horse Riding and Mountain Biking

Day Four & Five :

At about 6:30am your private helicopter will land just in front of the lodge – a short stroll across the lawn and you’ll be taking off for your morning adventure which might include a stop in the Suguta Valley and Lothgam – one of the first of the fossil sites you’ll visit.

The Turkana Basin Institute is a research and educational facility located in the region often referred to as the Cradle of Mankind. It is not a luxury lodge, but it gives access to a place that tourists have never been able to visit before. The next few days will be divided with time in the cool of the labs during the heat of the day and time out and about around the area. A visit to central island will give a unique insight into ancient fishing practices and walks to the nearby villages will allow for an opportunity to meet the Turkana people. You will learn about everything from dinosaurs to our ancient ancestors.

Day Six & Seven :

From Turkana it will be time to head south again in your helicopter. After breakfast begin the two hour flight to Kenya’s Northern Frontier District of Samburu.

After spending time in basic accommodation, enjoy arriving at Sasaab’s heavenly oasis. Relax in your private plunge pool with spectacular wilderness views, indulge in a spa treatment or visit the gym and lap pool. There are plenty of opportunities for further adventure, exploring Westgate Conservancy by camel, foot or quad bike, as well as on game drives to spot the ‘Samburu Special Five’ animals endemic to the area. Don’t miss a visit to Sasaab’s 4C Centre and the Rhodia Mann Museum to delve deeper into Samburu culture.

Day Eight :

After breakfast at Sasaab, your luxury tented camp in Samburu, catch a flight from Sasaab Airstrip to Nairobi Wilson Airport. You will be met and transferred to The Retreat at Giraffe Manor.

Within easy reach of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, yet surrounded by nature with a laid-back safari vibe, The Retreat is the ultimate space in which to end your safari or rejuvenate and prepare for onward travel. Enjoy deep rest in your heavenly day room suite, all-inclusive of delicious homegrown food, drinks, spa and gym facilities, infinity pool overlooking the giraffe sanctuary and airport transfers. Your departure time will depend on when your international flight departs Nairobi.
